It’s a wrap!

My exhibition ‘Death on the Street’ has come to an end.

Thinking back to 3 weeks ago, I arrived in Horsham, gung-ho, ready to install a body of work I’ve been developing for over 5 years. I mixed up the paste and had all the pieces laid out when the news hit... Victoria was going into lockdown.

Sarah Natali, Festival Director Extraordinaire of Art is… Festival came to my rescue and generously opened her home, along with her fury family, warm wood fire, and delicious home-cooked meals. Thanks to her rescheduling savviness, especially in these difficult and trying times for the arts community, we had a successful exhibition opening a couple of weeks later at The Goat Gallery in Natimuk with Rob & Genevieve who kindly opened up their gallery space.

The Goat Gallery

It felt great to see the collage up on the wall just as I imagined, I really hope the whole body of work including the accompanying wall murals will be shown all together soon.

Media

Thanks to the The Weekly Advertiser for their great questions.

Publicity

In a sad, but strangely serendipitous kind of way, there was roadkill outside the front of the gallery on the morning of the opening. And in a fortunate, but strangely all too convenient way, it disappeared before the opening. I promise,

I had nothing to do with it.

Installation

A3 prints pasted to the wall to make a large mural at the Goat Gallery in Natimuk

Invitation

Thanks to the very talented Sev Ali for designing my invitation
