Media call at the Alfred Hospital

Naming the Paula Fox Melanoma and Cancer Centre

It’s a bonus living close to the Alfred Hospital, I can chuck my camera on my back and walk to a media call in 20 mins. Early jobs are the best, this time the politicians arrived before me!

I photographed Prime Minister Anthony Albanese and Premier Daniel Andrews at The Alfred hospital for the official naming celebration of the $152 million Melanoma and Cancer Centre on St Kilda Road named after philanthropist Paula Fox.

Lindsey and Paula Fox, who donated a large portion, were there with their children and grandchildren. They are all very friendly and I really enjoyed working and chatting with them. They seem like a very supportive and tight family who are making a wonderful contribution to the health system. I wish them all well.

Next time I must remember to take off my high viz vest when hiding in the background
