Kirby is still kool

When I shoot events in the academic world I often hear lectures that I wouldn’t normally be privy to. In some cases I walk away unexpectedly learning something from the speaker, or see the world from a different point of view. That has happened twice now with Michael Kirby, Justice of the High Court of Australia.

He is a gracious man who is generous with his time and dedicated to his cause, empowering people to make difference in the field of Human Rights. His sense of humour is disarming and infectious while he powers on at 83 years of age.

Today I was photographing Justice Kirby for the Faculty of Law at Monash University on “Global LTBTQIA+ Rights: Good news / Bad news” .
