The Alfred Hospital Features My Photography in Patient Stories
My photography work has been featured on The Alfred Hospital's webpage, helping to tell patient stories and support their fundraising efforts. The images showcase patients like Darcy and highlight the hospital's specialised care.
Working with The Alfred Hospital's lung lab team was truly inspiring. I had the privilege of capturing images of their dedicated staff in action, showcasing their tireless efforts and expertise in treating respiratory conditions.
Witnessing the bond between patients, families, and healthcare providers reinforced for me the power of visual storytelling in medical contexts. These images not only document medical care but also capture the human experiences and connections that are at the heart of healthcare.
It was an honour to contribute my photography skills to help The Alfred Hospital share these important stories and support their mission.
A highlight of this project was photographing Darcy and his mother. Darcy's calm demeanor and grounded attitude in the face of health challenges left a lasting impression on me. His resilience was remarkable.
Darcy's mother demonstrated incredible creativity and support during the challenging lockdown period. I was touched by her innovative idea to rent e-scooters, allowing them to enjoy brief outings just across the road from the hospital. This small act of normalcy amidst a difficult time spoke volumes about their spirit.
