MMP studio photographs landmark Monash University philanthropy announcement
In March 2026, MMP studio was engaged by Monash Business School to photograph a significant milestone for Australian research — the formal announcement of the David Brand Foundation Chair in Natural Capital Investment.
The new Chair, made possible through a philanthropic gift from the David Brand Foundation, is Australia's first professorial position dedicated to natural capital investment. It sits within the Pacific Action for Climate Transitions (PACT) research centre and will draw on collaborations across the Monash global network, including Monash University Indonesia and Monash University Malaysia.
The luncheon and signing event brought together senior university leadership, including Vice-Chancellor and President Prof Sharon Pickering and Prof Simon Wilkie, Head of Monash Business School and Dean of the Faculty of Business and Economics, alongside David Brand, CEO of Arborcrest Investments and founder of New Forests.
MMP studio's photograph of the occasion has been published on the Monash Business School website as part of the university's official news coverage of the announcement.
Institutional events of this nature call for photography that is both documentary and considered — images that reflect the significance of the occasion without overpowering it. Working within a formal luncheon setting, the brief was to capture the key figures authentically while producing imagery suitable for the university's communications channels.
MMP studio regularly works with Monash University across research, clinical, and institutional contexts, providing photography that meets the standards expected by major academic and healthcare organisations.
